We visited this great house recently. It was used in the filming of Pride and Prejudice a few years ago. Whilst wandering the grounds and house interior it was impossible not to consider how the occupants would have passed their time with no Tv or radio never mind the internet!
This year I have recaptured an enjoyment of books and plan to spend many hours in their company over the coming months.

I found this inscription on a grave stone in this cemetery in Salem, Massachusetts a couple of years ago.
For some reason it came to mind today so I decided to make this the subject of my photo.
It’s almost mid February. Time seems to have passed so quickly this year. Sometimes I watch the minute hand on this large clock and for a few seconds see it actually move. Then I realise that moment is gone and never returning. Time has become the treasure I value more and more each day and how I spend it means everything now.
My daughter’s back at Uni this week but the messages on the wall of her room at home remind me that family is special and the connections remain no matter where we are.
I spent today playing through some of my vinyl collection. It’s such an amazing thing to dig out 20, 30, 40 year old analog recordings and hear them sounding brilliant. #daily-photo
