“American Pie” by Don McLean from 1971.

Another early seventies album and a relaxing close to my afternoon of vinyl listening. I remember being played tracks from this by teachers at school.

“Bomber” by Motörhead from 1979.

Gonna play three in a row from a band I really loved in my late teen years. They seemed to epitomise what the heavy end of rock and roll was all about at that time. I remember seeing them on tour at this time and was blown away by the physicality of their sound. It literally assaulted the senses!

“The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars” by David Bowie from 1972.

We all have copies of albums on vinyl that are very special to us. This is one of mine. A first UK pressing of a truly wonderful, timeless masterpiece which I’m enjoying again this afternoon.

“Ace of Spades” by Motörhead from 1980.

Together with Overkill and Bomber this makes up my three favourite albums from these guys. Always brings back memories of schooldays and some very loud live gigs in Nottingham, Derby and Leicester! At the time I loved this cover photo and always wanted such an outfit in my wardrobe! Still do actually!! #nowplaying #vinyl #vinylcollection #vinylrecords #vinyljunkie #motorhead #aceofspades #nostalgia #80s

“Love Gun” by KISS from 1977.

Great KISS album, I can even take the Beach Boys cover! They’ve had a few poor albums but when they are on form they are brilliant. This copy is actually a 1984 reissue, can’t remember if I ever had the original release.
